Hulk Hogan's singer daughter, Brooke, has jumped to the defense of her jailed brother, Nick, by hitting out at "lies that were told" at his trial last week.
Nick Bollea, 17, is serving an eight-month sentence after pleading no contest to felony reckless driving following a horrific car crash in Clearwater, Fla., which left his friend John Graziano critically injured.
In an emotional posting on her MySpace page, Brooke claims, "A lot of lies were told in that trial. Believe me. And it wasn't from us."
She doesn't elaborate on the "lies" but adds that the public's perception of her brother has been skewed by media reports.
Hogan adds, "I know most of the public thinks my brother is some rich little selfish kid, but no one knows the real story and I'm really [bleep] that the truth didn't come out from either side.
"I'm not going to be outspoken right now, but if some [bleep] doesn't start getting straightened out, a lot of people are going to eat their words for lying.
"I know all of the truth and I have back up. I never knew how twisted this world could be, but I'm starting to figure it out."
As well as the jail time, Bollea was also handed five years probation; his driver's license was suspended for three years; and he has been banned from drinking alcohol for five years.
